I had a terrible experience at Evolucao Thai MMA Toronto. The martial art skills of the trainers were subpar, and the owner, Mauricio Amada, demonstrated a clear lack of intelligence. Furthermore, I found the behavior of instructors Alex Sosa and John Cunningham to be creepy and bizarre, which made me extremely uncomfortable during training. The atmosphere was just terrible, and I would not recommend this gym to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and find a different place to train.
First of all, the martial art skills of the trainers were highly disappointing. I expected to be challenged and pushed to my limits, but instead, I found myself bored and unstimulated during training. The trainers seemed to lack the knowledge and expertise to take their students to the next level, which is a fundamental aspect of any martial arts training program. This was especially frustrating given the high fees charged by the gym.
On top of this, I was highly disturbed by the behavior of the instructors Alex Sosa and John Cunningham. They both exhibited strange and bizarre behavior that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I felt that they were crossing boundaries and were highly inappropriate with their students. As a result, I never felt safe or secure during training, which is an essential element of any gym experience.
Lastly, the atmosphere of the gym was just terrible. I found the place to be poorly lit, cramped, and unhygienic. The facilities were outdated, and the equipment was old and poorly maintained. The gym was always overcrowded, and there was never enough space for everyone to train effectively. This made the already subpar training experience even worse.
Overall, I cannot recommend Evolucao Thai MMA Toronto to anyone looking for quality martial arts training. The poor martial art skills of the trainers, the lack of knowledge of the owner Mauricio Amada, the threatening and bizarre behavior of the instructors Alex Sosa and John Cunningham, and the bad atmosphere of the gym all contributed to a disappointing and frustrating experience.
