I had a very negative experience with this organization. We had a minor legal issue and requested information and a call back. We received neither - after numerous calls and empty promises of callbacks, we gave up and called a different firm - one where our questions were answered immediately and professionally - don’t waste your time - call somebody else!

The owner is super friendly and she is an artist when it comes to making an old antique new again! Specializing in the shabby chic technique her pieces are one of a kind. Very unprofessional. If you dont do the extra, uneccessary, documents that only THEY want done and not only what you specifically asked for they drop you as a client. I went grocery shopping today and found some soup bones that I wanted to purchase but they were four to five inches long. I waited at the meat department for a good ten minutes to ask someone to please cut these bones in two. After waiting all this time, I finally asked an assistant from another department to check if someone was working in the meat department. There is a lot more to this. No “specific” deadlines were identified. This was a major build and anyone with any sense realizes that you can’t set a firm deadline and book an unfinished truck for events. Owner developed serious medical issues and was hospitalized. Truck owner was advised that this was going to delay things and recommended to find another shop to finish it. Still hasn’t paid his full bill either.
I called to fix a filling, the receptionist told me that they will need to do a general overview and I can opt for a more expensive one so that they do not have to repeat it each time I need a filling. It was less than 400 dollars, so I said sure, if you can do it once why not. When arrived, I was not greeted but told that I am early (I was early by 15 min), I was not asked to wait or anything, so I just found myself a chair. The nurse was very talkative and first 30 min was just telling me about her private life. Then she took some x-rays which was ok. More waiting then. Then an hour and 25 minutes after the start of my appointment, a woman showed up, again some unnecessary personal talk. I assumed that she was a doctor, but apparently, she is just a graduate as when I asked to see her registration number, she dentistry changed the subject and asked to talk on the phone so that there's no record of what is happening. She graduated less than 2 months ago in a different country according to her LinkedIn, that's why I suspect she is not registered but that's my own fault for not asking the registration before the appointment, I just did not expect such a bad treatment. Previously, new dentists were always telling me at the beginning of the appointment that they are just starting, and that is ok with me, as long as you are honest about who you are, I am happy to help young professionals grow because we all have to start somewhere. But not disclosing this and being fully unprofessional later is not OK. Anyway, she was very harsh with all my teeth, she ignored that I told her that what she's doing is hurting, I suspect that she cracked one of my root canal teeth because it is still hurting 3 days later ( she was knocking really hard on it despite me shifting and trying to show her with my body language that it is very uncomfortable), eventually when she took her hands out of my mouth, I just left feeling hurt and violated. Trying to resolve the issue with the office manager, but they just keep sending me templated responses, so giving up as they clearly never heard a word I say and eventually it is hurtful to read: "We take time to get to know our patients" - how do you get to know then when you completely ignore what they say? "Communication is important to us" - how is it important if you send graduates and fail to disclose that? I don't want this to sound against the young potentially dentist, as she has just graduated and can make mistakes, but the whole office culture is rotten. When leaving, I asked to send me the x-rays, since they took the money for it, but instead they just sent me the invoice again. So, after all the hurt and time and money wasted, I do not even have the x-rays (I do not really need them as I did them recently with my usual doctor but out of principle, I would have liked to get the product I paid for).
They have decent equipment to be fair, which I appreciate, but with the appalling disrespect of patients, that hardly compensates.
I know the one who started it all and she forever helped restore me in more ways than one. She worked miracles when others wouldn't. Highly recommend this place and follow the advice. Anyone who works there would be very good for the one who created the business wouldn't have it any other way.

the electric nail drill to remove her cuticles, didn't clean under the nails, roughed up the nail surface and slapped a clear coat on leaving my mother with the most unprofessional manicure equivalent to a 4 year old doing it at home **see attached photo lol. take a course to get my class "D". Long story a bit shorter, I took half the course only to have the MTO deny me getting my air brakes, no reason(s) were added. I end up having to quit the course of three months after successfully completing half of the three months. The course instructors could not understand why I would have been denied as there was zero reason to even consider a suspension for any amount of time. After quitting the course and taking a Greyhound bus back to North Bay, I receive a letter in early 1988, about two months after returning home, from the MTO stating that my class GM driver's license was now "indefinitely suspended". Why, I thought...Why, the people in the course were wondering, Why, my friends and family were asking. Remember, that was 1987, in 2012, 25 years later...a quarter of a century, over half my life, most of my working years, I paid close to $750 in fees for an MTO Tribunal, to find out why they suspended my driver's licenses for twenty five years. They couldn't, so the said they were going to give it back. Such a series of crap I've never seen before, and the ONLY person who could get even a speck of an answer was Mariusz Przylowski. He proved what I've known all along. I cannot sue anybody because the system is designed not hurt the system no matter what happened. The doctor lied, another doctor backed up his crap, and the MTO was a little untruthful. It's too bad that I didn't run into Mariusz before the nonsense two year statute of limitations was up. She then goes on to say that she doesn’t want to cancel the wedding and offered another property in Sutton we could use for the ceremony/reception in the backyard. And if that one wasn’t good enough, she has a friend with property in Mount Albert that could possibly work. Then says don’t tell your mom or your caterer before you see the place in Sutton. So the place in Sutton turned out to be a new build on a rather small lot (to host weddings of any size). The back yard was ridiculously tiny and was half patio. If I wanted a backyard wedding, it would have been free lol We didn’t even want to entertain the Mount Albert option. We asked her again what happened and she said the inspection on the barn didn’t go through, but we could use a tent on the grass instead of the barn on the property we booked. We did not like this alternative as we paid for the barn along with the property. Since she was in breach of her own contract, we asked for our money back in full. 2 days later she paid us back including reimbursement of our invites.
So going back to when she called me with bad news…I of course called my mom freaking out, what bride wouldn’t? Told mom about the inspection and she called the Town of Georgina. They informed her that Vivian was actually going through a rezoning of her property to allow any type of event. This is public information and you can obtain the meeting minutes on their website. There was a public council meeting the night before she called me, and I assume because of that meeting, Vivian was under their “radar” and what we paid wasn’t worth a fine. Vivian took our money knowing she was not permitted to host our wedding in the first place. Not good business practices!
The stress that this lady caused us was unbearable. It was pretty embarrassing to tell our guests about a venue change weeks before even though it wasn’t our fault. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for all your event needs!

Poor experience as there was glass was found in my food. I was thankful my child, age 3, did not have the glass on her plate. It's not worth dining here as there's no ownership or a desire to keep customers as they turned a blind eye in dealing with this situation. Very arrogant.

District Stairs is no more than a middle man between customer and average contractor. Their show room is just that - for show. If customer is unhappy and asks for refund, mr Marlon forces them to finish the project by bringing up breach of contract. If review is posted, he simply requests Google to remove it. On the other websites his way of damage control is to discredit the reviewer. Thankfully we did stair treads and risers ourselves, so at least we were left with the damage that is fixable, like new post connectors and steel fillet extensions. The question remains why mr Marlon didn't let us know that the posts we picked are not compatible with the old fillet

Moves are never easy and are stressful, but North Country Movers made them efficiently and in a timely matter. We had to move twice in view of our major renovations; we needed to move out, have our content moved into storage for 8 months and then move back in. The master mechanic employee then proceeded to inform him that it would be 50$ for a diagnostic and 109$ for their hourly labour rate. I dropped my car off at 12pm and did not receive a call about any updates on my car so I decided to call them at 4:30 (an hour and a half before they close) and they told me I needed three different repairs done to my car and how one of the parts (throttle body) would be 500-600$ (meanwhile the part costs 380$). They kept my car overnight and I picked it up this morning. When I came to pick up the car this morning around 9am, I asked if anyone had drove my car because it had been unlocked and he said that no. So my car was unlocked all night on Lansdowne street (if you live in peterborough, you know this is a bad street to leave your car unlocked especially all night!!!). Just absolutely unacceptable. I even specifically told the guy if they were to keep my car overnight to make sure it is locked. If you're a young women, I would not go here because these guys will take complete advantage and price gouge the crap out of you. When I voiced my concerns to the guy at the front desk about this price gouging - he took no responsibility, never apologized, nor took any accountability and tried acting like I was crazy for even mentioning it. Tried to hush me up saying I didn't have to pay for diagnostic that they did. That to me screams shady and guilty. My experience with this shop was terrible. I did not feel heard (didn't know asking to lock my car and not price gouge was too much to ask for but clearly it is). Waste of time and disgusting behaviour. I'm writing this for the young girls.
Run don't walk away from this business. They are disorganized, scattered and incapable of completing an assessment. Refund is difficult to get and I regret the time wasted.
